Personal Interests

Christian Study 

Reading and discussing the Word of God has become a focal point of my spiritual life.

Music 

There hasn't been a moment that I can't remember loving music. (Pardon the double negative.)

Writing 

I was trained as a writer by my father (a hobbist painter who was a frustrated writer, too), my English teachers and Journalism professors.

Science Fiction 

Summer reading in my early grades was somewhat freeform, but one great thing my father did for me was agree to give me a quarter for every book I finished.

Computers 

I've always been fascinated by technology...toys are so much fun.

Fishing 

Fishing is the best way I have of being with my son.

Camping 

When I was in the Boy Scouts, camping was a respite from a chaotic household.
