I have been making music since childhood. I’ve sung in boys’ choirs and glee clubs, rock bands and bluegrass groups. Since I am a writer by gift and talent, music is a regular way I express myself. I have been playing the guitar since 1963, and have learned by ear piano, banjo and harmonica. (Actually, I did take lessons for the banjo for a few months. Mistake.) I started writing down the songs I composed in 1969 and have been recording them since 1990.

When I play around Richmond, I often bring along another player like David Berry, my very best friend and a pal in music and life since 1966. I have produced three CDs: Home Cookin’, New and Improved, and Wait! There’s More. My full music site is full of details and songs.
